i'm so wasted on you.
i remember how simple one-worded replies were all we had because even if we were wrong about what we did not say, the worst could not ruin what we had. every lyric you spoke enveloped your speech and i could swear we could sing your words like they were meant for breathtaking melodies. i think about how our connection was based on something we grew out of but seemed to cling to. i was such a bother then, and i wish i could apologize but i know you would just forgive me and know precisely what i wanted to hear. it's the most i could ask for but last thing i deserve. i am not sure what this is about or if there is a point to any of it. i'd hate to be a problem by saying anything at all. of course, that is all i tend to be.
thankfully, you've learned it isn't your problem.
